Each local commercial radio station in the UK has requirements in respect of its music and local content, such as news, speech levels etc. These requirements are set out in the station "Format", a document issued by Ofcom, the UK’s radio regulator. This Public File contains details of the elements that Ofcom regulate, such as music tracks, local news etc. It is intended to give you a better understanding of our output and what we are doing for our local community.

All bulletins produced locally with local content taking priority. We don’t run any national UK wide syndicated news bulletins.
Local bulletins hourly 0600 – 2200 Monday to Friday.
Local bulletins hourly 0800 – 1800 and again at 2000,2100 and 2200 on Saturday
Local bulletins hourly 0800 - 2200 on Sunday
Extended bulletins 1300 and 1700

Cool FM is automated from Monday to Friday 01:00 - 06:00, Saturday 01:00 - 06:00 and Sunday 01:00 - 06:00

All of Cool FM's programming is produced in-house except for The HIT 40 UK Chart Show which is broadcast every Sunday from 16:00-19:00.
