It's been reported that Friends star Courtney Cox is planning to marry her Snow Patrol musician boyfriend Johnny McDaid, in a private ceremony in Derry/Londonderry very soon.

Having just announced two acoustic gigs in Belfast and Derry, with just a week's notice, it looks like the legendary boy band are known for planning events quite fast.

The couple who have been together since 2013, were separated for nine months during the pandemic. Johnny was stuck in London, while Courtney was living in Los Angeles.

After being reunited, it's alleged the pair are wanting to get married as soon as possible, here in Northern Ireland. Distance clearly makes the heart grow fonder.

It's believed that Courtney asked her daughter Coco, 17, from her first marriage to actor David Arquette, and her Friends co-star Jennifer Anniston to be joint maid of honour.

When the couple celebrated their eight-year anniversary last week, Courtney paid tribute to her boyfriend by sharing two adorable snaps.

Having just performed two sell out shows in NI, could the happy couple be spending the next few days here planning their special day?

As well as performing in Snow Patrol, Johnny has written and produced a wide array of recent chart hits. No one more special than with the record-breaking Ed Sheeran.

Ed shared a behind the scenes video on social media, documenting the writing/recording process for their chart-topping single 'Bad Habits'.

He wrote: "We rented an old country house with the idea that the change of scenery from a studio would help make the most interesting songs, and for a month just chucked around random ideas and genres that I wouldn’t ever usually make.

"Bad habits came by accident and was such a fun tune to make. I didn’t know at the time it would end up as the first single from the album but here we are."

Rumour has it, Ed was in fact the person that introduced Johnny and Courtney over eight years ago. He shall now forever be known as Cupid! 💘
