Ed Sheeran has made a name for himself in recent years performing at weddings and proposals, but this time he was drafted in to perform by Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid for his sister's wedding in Londonderry.

Brid and Sandy certainly had a day to remember when Ed rocked up. The Derry bride and her groom married in the grounds of Beech Hill Hotel in Ardmore, Northern Ireland and the whole wedding party were left blown away by Ed and Johnny’s performance.

Ed and Johnny took to the stage for the bride and groom’s first dance and performed a stunning rendition of Snow Patrol’s hit song ‘Chasing Cars’.

The pair then carried on for a further 30-minute set where they performed some of Ed’s biggest hits.

The manager at the stunning venue said “We enjoyed a wonderful day to celebrate the beautiful garden wedding of the happy couple, Brid and Sandy. The sun was out in force and so were the stars who wowed the guests with their talent and crowned off what was a fantastic wedding celebration.

"The wedding guests were treated to very special performance which was fitting for such a great occasion.”

This isn't the first time Ed and Johnny have teamed up, Ed supported Snow Patrol back in 2012 on their North American Tour.
