Fans call for Scarlett Moffatt to replace Ant McPartlin on Saturday Night Takeaway
This follows an incident at the weekend
Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway fans are calling for Scarlett Moffatt to replace Ant McPartlin on the show following him being held on suspicion of drink driving.
With the finale due to be filmed at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida next month, it could potentially be in jeopardy as it's reported Ant could be banned from entering the USA. So, many viewers are keen to see Scarlett step up and present the show alongside Declan Donnelly.
Although Lorraine Kelly this morning appeared to confirm Ant will return to Saturday Night Takeaway, some are eager to see Scarlett take his place. One Twitter user said, 'With Ant getting in trouble with the law, maybe and 'ant and dec's saturday night takeaway' will be Dec and Scarlett...' with another claiming, 'Scarlett might step in. Could be the end of Ant & Dec.'
This comes after Ant is being held on suspicion of drink driving over the weekend. Metropolitan Police were called to an area in south west London at around 4pm on the 18th March after a crash involving three vehicles.
This morning Lorraine Kelly claimed Ant will return to the show, saying, "I would be astounded if he wasn't on the show because he's such a professional.
"He will be there on Saturday night though, a lot of people are speculating that he won't be there for Saturday Night Takeaway, he will."
Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway is currently into its 15th series and has so far seen celebrities such as Kylie Minogue, Olly Murs and James Corden involved in the latest series.
