Pippa Middleton gets engaged to James Matthews
James popped the question
Pippa Middleton and her boyfriend James Matthews are engaged, one year after they rekindled their romance.
The happy news was announced by a close friend of the couple and reports suggest the 40-year-old hedge fund manager popped the question during a relaxing break in the Lake District last weekend.

According to a national newspaper the engagement took Pippa by total surprise with the whole family delighted about the news. James, who is the older brother of Made In Chelsea's Spencer Matthews asked Pippa’s father, Michael Middleton’s permission before the proposal.
A source close to the family said “Mike and Carole are very happy. They like James and they are sure he will make Pippa very happy."
The couple first met back in 2012 when they briefly dated but it wasn’t until September last year the couple rekindled their romance.
Pippa took the world by storm at The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding in 2011 where she looked sensational as Kate’s chief bridesmaid.
No set date for the wedding has been announced but reports suggest it could take place next year.
