The biggest news of the past few weeks has been the fact that the Spice Girls are reuniting for a 2019 tour, and the fact that Posh Spice AKA Victoria Beckham won't be joining the rest of them. But the latest development has fans thinking she might actually join Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel C and Mel B on stage next year.

Victoria - who released a statement explaining why she's bowed out of the Spice Girls stadium shows last week - has sent fans into a frenzy by liking an Instagram comment claiming to be 'confirmation' she'll reunite with her four bandmates.

When one Spice fan on Instagram commented on a video of Victoria accepting her Fashion Icon award at the People's Choice Awards last weekend, writing, 'I feel like this could be confirmation that she's joining spice girls???' sic, VB herself couldn't help but give it a sneaky like.

This obviously left fans wondering if it's a hint she'll be joining the band, with one commenting, 'I would love it if she did xx'. Another said, 'I knew it. It is not official but she might 😊'. sic

This all comes after Victoria released a statement explaining her absence from the Spice Girls' 2019 stadium tour plans. She wrote, 'Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!

'I won't be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year. I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X vb #spicegirls #friendshipneverends' sic.

Melanie C explained that Victoria wasn't asked to join the reunion after the girls 'presumed' she wasn't interested on The Jonathan Ross Show last weekend. She said, "Do you know what is actually quite funny... I saw Victoria recently and obviously we’ve all been in contact, she is still very much a part of the Spice Girls, she really supports us and we really support her.

"But she did raise the point that she was never actually asked. We just presumed."
