Some the world’s biggest names in music will perform at a fundraising event taking place the humanitarian appeal in Ukraine.

Snow Patrol, Ed Sheeran, Becky Hill, Tom Odell, Camila Cabello, Emeli Sandé and Gregory Porter are the first names to be announced.

A two-hour concert will take place on Tuesday 29th March at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, and will be broadcast on ITV and the ITV Player for all to watch.

Viewers will also be able to donate money to the cause throughout the show.

All sponsorship and advertising revenue generated from the broadcast of the event, will also be donated to the DEC appeal.

What is the DEC?

The DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas.

It’s believed that at least 3 million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. DEC charities are in Ukraine and neighbouring countries meeting the needs of all refugees and displaced people.

• £30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month

• £50 could provide blankets for four families

• £100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month

Snow Patrol shared the concert’s poster on social media, writing: “We will be performing at Concert for Ukraine next week to support the @disastersemergencycommittee Ukraine Humanitarium Appeal and help those affected by the conflict.”

Further artist announcements will be made in the coming days.
