The tour film and live album is out this November

Coldplay will release their first concert film and live album for almost a decade this autumn.

Entitled ‘Live 2012’ the film collates footage from Coldplay’s sell-out Mylo Xyloto shows at Montreal Bell Centre and Paris Stade de France this summer plus their triumphant headline slot at Glastonbury Festival 2011.

Directed by Paul Dugdale, the man behind Adele’s critically acclaimed Live at the Royal Albert Hall, ‘Live 2012’ comes out on CD/DVD, DVD/CD, Blu-ray/CD and digitally on Monday 19th November.

The band’s latest single ‘Hurts Like Heaven’ will be released on the same day as the film.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin commented: “The Mylo Xyloto tour has been the most fun we've ever had as a band.

“It's felt very uplifting right from the start; partly because we are proud of the music, the LED wristbands, the pyrotechnics, the lasers and all of that stuff, but mainly because of the amazing audiences that we've been playing for.

“Over the years, our crowd has become more and more a part of the concert itself. They're loud, diverse, full of soul, and make the songs sound much better than we can on our own.

“We wanted to try to bottle the incredible feeling that they give us, and hence our concert film.”

Coldplay’s last concert film – ‘Live 2003’ – was filmed at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and hit the shelves in November 2003. It has sold over 1million copies across the globe, including 600,000 in the US alone.
