Lea Heart releases new single 'Happier' & chats to Cool FM

The last two years have seen Lea Heart grow from an bedroom DIY artist, to having 8M+ Global streams, selling out two headline shows and a platinum selling single with ‘Older’.
Lea is well known for her relatable heart-felt pop anthems, her music focusing on issues of youth, love, heartache and all that is in between.

Her brand new single ‘Happier’ takes Lea into a more mature and expressive era.
About the song Lea explains ‘Happier is a super personal song for me written from my own experiences with males in my life - the song is deeply emotional and describes a relationship that is now gone from my life and ended in heartache. It wasn’t written during the angry, heartbroken stage after a relationship ends.
"It was the moment I realised I was stronger without that person in my life - I felt freedom, excitement and empowerment. ‘
Lea stopped by Cool FM HQ to chat to PK about her single, and jumped on our summer soirée stage, performing an intimate show for presenters and the team.

Earlier this month Lea took to the stage at Electric Picnic for the first time, and she blew the roof off the tent.
She got to watch a live fan reaction to her new single at Electric Picnic, something every performer dreams of. She joked with PK on Cool: "I love singing that song live, it's such an upbeat, kind-of 'don't care' song, so I just knew I had to sing it at Electric Picnic. The reaction was amazing!"
"Song writing to me is almost like therapy, I always say when I'm in the studio that it's my happy place."
Lea teased local fans that there's more to come very soon. "This summer between festivals and writing, that's all I've been doing. I feel like in the last few months, I've figured out what it is I want to say, and what I need to get out. I've been working in London and Sweden with some amazing producers, and really getting it all written down on paper. I've a few songs I'm really really happy with, and I'm super excited to share them everyone soon."

Another career highlight is on the way for Lea, it's just been announced she will open for Sigrid at Dublin’s 3Arena on Thursday November 24th 🤯
Lea's writing style is inspired by the artists she grew up listening to - Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift, Sinead O Connor, Paramore, P!nk, Lady GaGa, Catfish and the bottlemen and The Killers.
