It’s a challenging time for parents. Belfast's CastleCourt shopping centre has launched an online Family Hub to keep kids amused and engaged during lockdown.

From arts and crafts to Easter baking the family hub is an educational home for activities, stories, and resources for children and adults alike to enjoy and help pass the time.

Kids can design their own creepy crawly, learn more about our solar system or build cool things from everyday recycled household items.

If you're trying to come up with some easy Easter baking ideas, then this was made for you.

A great idea to help families through these unprecedented times.

A spokesperson for CastleCourt explained: CastleCourt launched the Family Hub to support the local families who have supported our business for 30 years. As a family focused shopping centre, we understand the huge change in routine that the isolation period will bring for both children and parents, and developed the Family Hub to aid creative learning at home. The Family Hub is an activity-filled tab on our newly launched website, led by the characters from our kids club – Shopstars. We have included lots of fun games, crafts and quizzes for children to make their own entertainment at home and test their knowledge. Across April we will launch four new topics, one per week, to provide a variety of fun for all our mini Shopstars."
