Northern Ireland might not have the most reliable weather (no kidding), but when the sun does shine we know how to make the most of it.
Our country is blessed with hundreds of al fresco drinking spaces, from tiny roof terraces to sprawling gardens and 100-acre causeway coast beaches.
With that in mind, below we have listed seven pubs with great beer gardens worth ticking off the list over the summer months.
7. The Perch, 42 Franklin Street, Belfast, BT2 7GE
Enjoy cocktails and sangria in the height of summer at Belfast's highest rooftop bar.
Hosts live music, cocktail happy hours and BBQ events.
Find yourself looking over the sights of the city whilst sipping a cocktail in the outdoor area or "take a perch" at the bar and sample some beer and gins.

6. The Dirty Onion, 3 Hill Street, Belfast, BT1 2LA
The Dirty Onion is Belfast's oldest building, with real Irish music and craic seven nights a week. It was once used as a bonded spirit warehouse in 1921. Quirky interior, home to a large beer garden and outdoor bar serving a fantastic selection of beers and whiskeys

Relax with a drink in hand overlooking the stunning Mourne Mountains. Percy French is one of County Down’s finest bars and restaurants named after writer, artist and entertainer, Percy French. Take your pick of a beach stroll or mountain hike when finished.
4. Grace Neill's, 33 High Street, Donaghadee, BT21 0AH
Established in 1611 Grace Neill's is reputed to be "the oldest pub in Ireland".
Today the bar is firmly established as a popular tourist attraction where tourists mingle with the locals and enjoy the craic and a pint of Guinness. The bar has an award winning lounge bar and restaurant where you can be sure of fresh local produce cooked and served with traditional Irish hospitality.

3. The Four Trees, 61 Main Street, Moira, BT67 0LQ
Quirky little pub situated one mile from the M1 (Moira turnoff) approximately 20 minutes from Belfast. The pub itself is a listed building and has recently been extensively renovated. The 'Barn' is an original farm building. Check out the large beer garden to the rear.

A great brunch and outdoor drinking spot, sat overlooking The Strand and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A Shack, right on the beach, serving fresh local fish, meats, vegetables and more. It's proving a huge hit, better to book in advance!

Babel is a rooftop bar, garden and kitchen complete with panoramic city views across Belfast.
