Local comedian Paddy Raff smashes SSE Arena record

Belfast based comedian Paddy Raff performed the last of 5 sold out nights at Belfast’s SSE Arena on Friday night.
This is a new record for an Irish comedian, and a feat only equalled by Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges in the venue’s 21 year history.
His live show, “Me, Myself & Nigel”, was set to run from March 2020 for five nights, but managed one gig before lockdown struck.
Paddy commented: “It’s a mixture of pride & relief to have finally gotten to do the shows.
"Due to the pandemic they’d been pushed further back than my hairline was during my early 30’s but to be able to go into a big venue like that & hear the laughter & cheers of thousands of people is an amazing feeling after the last 18 months we’ve all had.
"I’m humbled by the love & support of everyone who bought a ticket to the show, I can’t wait to do it all again with a new show hopefully next year.”
Paddy only started in comedy three years ago, and his success has sky rocketed since! He is currently finishing work on the second series of his award winning BBC sketch show “The Paddy Raff Show”, and has been touring the UK since September.
He recently signed with Bluebook AM for international agency representation - the home of Micky Flanagan, one of the all time best selling live comedy acts, amongst many others.
His manager, and live promoter, Joe Dougan of TSW Management / Shine said “Paddy is a force of nature.
