Gigs and festivals to look forward to this year across Northern Ireland

We've got the green light for July 5th 👏

The music and events industry came to a complete halt back in March 2020, with gigs, concerts and comedy shows forced to postpone and cancel across Northern Ireland.

16 months later, it feels like there is a fresh air of hope flowing through the entertainment industry.

Stormont Ministers have agreed to relax further Covid-19 restrictions, which will see the return of live music on July 5th.

This is music to our ears not just for festival-goers, but for the hospitality and wedding industry too. Crowds will be kept to a reduced capacity, in line with Covid-19 regulations.

Live music will be permitted at licensed and unlicensed hospitality businesses that sell or provide food and/or drink for consumption on the premises. This will be at ambient level only to allow conversation at normal levels and with suitable mitigations in place, such as screens. Music will be permitted at outdoor events with no restriction on volume.

You don't realise just how much something means to you until it's gone. With that in mind, we can't wait to stand in a muddy field in the rain or to dance on a sticky neon floor listening to some of the world's greatest performers.

We've seen a flurry of gig announcements over the past few weeks, which is a promising sign.

Check out some of the hottest events to look forward to in 2021:
