Suspected cocaine and cash found during search in Belfast

The search, in the Finmore Court area, was part of an ongoing investigation into drugs criminality linked to East Belfast UVF.

Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force have seized drugs and other items during a proactive search of a house in east Belfast.

The search yesterday afternoon, in the Finmore Court area, was part of an ongoing investigation into drugs criminality linked to East Belfast UVF.

A police spokesperson said: "As a result of this search, a quantity of suspected Class A drugs, namely cocaine, was seized along with cash and drugs-related paraphernalia."

“The PCTF is committed to tackling all types of criminality linked to paramilitaries and we assure the public that we will continue to act on the information you provide."
