Another clear-up was under way today (Friday) in Belfast after another night of disruption and violence.

Meanwhile, appeals for calm are continuing with Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Irish Premier Micheal Martin and US President Joe Biden all urging an immediate end to the trouble.

Last night (Thursday) the PSNI deployed water cannon to disperse crowds at Springfield Road.

It followed bricks and fireworks being thrown at police - as trouble continued on both sides of the interface.
