Cash stolen following burglary in Co Down

A sum of cash has been stolen from a house in Comber.

Occupants of the house in the Dermott Park area returned home last night to find three men rummaging through.

A police spokesperson said: "We received a report that the occupants of a house returned home to find three men inside, who were rummaging through the rooms. The men then made off via the rear of the property. It is believed the men entered the house via a front window at around 8.20 and made off shortly before 8.50pm."

"A quantity of cash was taken during the incident."

Investigations are underway and police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area or noticed any suspicious activity to contact them.
