Brooke Scullion is gearing up for the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on Thursday night as she takes to the stage to represent Ireland.

The Bellaghy native is hopeful her song ,'That's Rich', can get her to Sunday's final.

Speaking to Downtown Radio and Cool FM, Brooke said success in the competition could catapult her career.

"My goal is to get in to the final," she said.

"The amount of the ears my music would reach if I got to the final would be insane. I've got so much stuff coming out after too."

Brooke is no stranger to the signing limelight, after she was a contestant on the popular tv show, The Voice.

She thinks Eurovision will be an entirely different prospect.

"On the voice I was signing everyone else's songs, I was covering other artists" she said.

"This time it's my song, I'm the creative director and I'm dancing.

"It's a massive opportunity and I really don't know how to prepare. I'd say I've sang the song 600 hundred time, so I'm not going to forget the words. That's the main thing!"

The semi-final will take place on 12th May and will see performances from Australia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Finland, Georgia, Malta, San Marino, Serbia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Ireland, Israel, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania and Sweden.
