The Irish Rugby Football Union says it cannot rule out the possibility of Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding making a return to Ulster.

Earlier this year, the pair were cleared of rape in a high profile court case in Belfast, but they were both sacked by the club.

Jackson has since joined Perpignan, and Olding now plays for fellow French club Brive.

IRFU Performance Director David Nucifora says it's hard to predict what may happen in the future.

"I can't say definitively that they will or they won't come back. As time moves on, I suppose we'll see, but there is no plan now to drag the boys back."

"I think they're just getting on with life over there in France, and hopefully they do well and as time goes on we'll see - never shut the door on anything,"

"I suggest they'll really enjoy life in Brive and Perpignan, they're nice places. Maybe they don't want to come back. I think we're all making assumptions that they want to come back but maybe they won't," said Nucifora.
