Lisburn Traffic Information
Due to the annual Lisburn Half Marathon, 10K Road Race and Fun Run on Wednesday 15th June, there will be traffic disruption and diversions in operation from approximately 6.00pm to 9.00pm. Areas that will be affected are; Hillsborough Road, Grosvenor Road, Blaris Road and the City Centre.
The organisers would advise all participants and spectators to leave plenty of time to get to the starting point at Lagan Valley LeisurePlex. Please note that the first race will be the 10K.
Race Times for the event are as follows:
- Wheelchair 10K - 6.49pm - 10K Road Race - 6.50pm - Wheelchair Half Marathon - 6.59pm - Half Marathon - 7.00pm - Fun Run - 7.10pm
Parking
Parking at Lagan Valley LeisurePlex will be limited.** **Parking is available at Lisnagarvey High School, located a short distance from the LeisurePlex, and Lagan Valley Island Civic Offices, which is a 15 minute walk away from the start area.
The following City Centre car parks will be available. Charges will apply up until 6.00pm;
- Linenhall Street - Antrim Street - Smithfield Square - Queens Road - Quay Street - Barrack Street
Parking is also available at Bow Street Car Park and Graham Gardens Car Park, however, both car parks are chargeable up until closure. Bow Street Car Park closes at 10.00pm and Graham Gardens Car Park at 6.00pm.
Register on day of event
If you missed the chance to register before the deadline, registrations will be accepted on the day of the event. Registration will open at 4.30pm to 6pm in the sports hall. Spaces are limited.
Adverse weather conditions
Rain is forecasted for Wednesday. Please come prepared and arrive in suitable attire.
In the event of thunder and lightning, the event will be postponed or cancelled.
