Man arrested over 1990 IRA bomb attack in Armagh

The man was detained at the International Airport this morning and taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station in Belfast..

He's being questioned about a number of offences including the murder of three police officers and a Catholic nun in the explosion in Armagh on 24 July 1990.

Constable William Hanson, Reserve Constables Joshua Willis and David Sterritt and Sister Catherine Dunne were killed when a landmine on the Killylea Road was detonated.

Another woman was also seriously injured in the blast.

A 55-year-old man who was also arrested last week in connection with the bombing was later released pending reports to prosecutors
