Man dies after car enters water off Donegal pier

A man has died after a car went off a pier off the coast of Donegal.

The 26-year-old was one of two men in the vehicle when it entered the water at Poolawaddy Pier, Arranmore, at around 5:10am this morning, Sunday 17th.

The second man, aged 30, managed to escape from the car before it sank.

His body has been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post mortem will take place tomorrow.

Garda say an nvestigations ongoing.
