Man who died following south Belfast assault named

A 34-year old man who died in hospital following a serious assault in south Belfast has been named.

David James Henry Conville suffered a head injury following an altercation just before 10 o'clock on Friday night at a property in Abingdon Drive in the city.

30-year old Edward James Kelly of Felt Street in the city, appeared before Belfast Magistrate's Court earlier, charged with manslaughter.

He was remanded in custody.
