Man 'stabbed with needle' in Belfast City Centre

A police investigation is underway after a report that a man was stabbed with a needle in Belfast City Centre.

It happened in the early hours of yesterday morning in the Great Victoria Street area.

A suspect is due in court today, charged in connection with the incident.

A PSNI statement said, “A 37-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences, including wounding with intent and attempted robbery.”

“He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 7th. As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.”
