Police investigating John Caldwell attack make arrest

Detectives from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch investigating the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell in Omagh have arrested a 42-year old man.

He was detained after presenting himself at Musgrave Police station.

Mr Caldwell was seriously injured after he was shot several times in front of his son at a sports complex in Omagh, Co Tyrone, on February 22 2023.
