A driver is in hospital with possible life-changing injuries following a serious crash in County Armagh overnight.

Police received a report just after 10.50, that two vehicles had collided on the road between Lawrencetown and Gilford.

The PSNI attended the scene as well as Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

The second driver suffered injuries which are not thought to be serious.

The road, which was closed overnight, has since reopened.

Police are appealing for dashcam footage and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident on the Banbridge Road to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1665 of 09/03/24.
