Staff member injured as robbers target Newtownabbey shop
A jewellers in a shopping centre's been targeted by robbers in Newtownabbey.
It was reported just after 9 o'clock this morning a man entered the shop at the Abbey Centre and asked to see a ring.
The man then snatched the ring and attacked a female member of staff, causing substantial injuries to her face.
Police say the man was wearing grey jogging bottoms and sweat top with a dark baseball cap.
They are appealing for information.
