Staff threatened with hammer during burglary in west Belfast

Two men, one armed with a hammer, threatened workers at a shop on the Suffolk Road yesterday evening.

Staff members have been left badly shaken during an aggarvated burglray in west Belfast.

Two men, one armed with a hammer, threatened staff at a shop on the Suffolk Road at around 9,15pm on Tuesday evening.

They made off with a sum of cash and cigarettes.

The man carrying the hammer was wearing light grey tracksuit bottoms, a light grey hooded top, a black scarf, dark coloured trainers with white soles, a dark coloured hat and gloves.

The second man wore a distinctive coat which was bright yellow with dark coloured sleeves and hood and white cuffs.

Detectives have asked anyone with information which could assist in their enquiries to contact them at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 1464 27/03/18.
