Northern Ireland can look forward to dry and warm weather this bank holiday weekend, according to the Met Office.

Saturday looks to be the best day of the weekend, with sunny spells and temperatures set to reach 23°C.

However the Met Office predicts that the weather will turn cloudier on Sunday with light winds picking up across Northern Ireland.

Along the coast fog and mist will be thick, but should burn off throughout the day.

It will be cooler on Bank Holiday Monday with the chance of drizzle in some areas.

Full Bank Holiday Weekend Forecast:

Tonight: A good deal of late evening sunshine, then lengthy clear spells to start the night, but cloud increasing from the west later, perhaps some fog along the north coast. Minimum temperature 8 °C

Saturday: A mostly cloudy day, the best of any sunshine in the south. Cloud will be thicker towards the north coast, perhaps some mist or fog at times. Maximum temperature 23 °C****

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Largely dry and settled with light winds. It is likely to be rather cloudy at times, but some bright or sunny spells also possible
