All eyes are on the skies, with a four-day weekend on the way this week. Will the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations be a wash out or a long-awaited heatwave?

With events and street parties expected to take place this weekend, the Met Office has issued a special Jubilee forecast, which predicts sunshine and showers are on the way.

Monday and Tuesday look set to remain cloudy, with some longer spells of rain in the afternoon.

The four-day bank holiday weekend will get off to a bright start and warmer conditions before it turns cooler and more unsettled.

Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Helen Caughey said: “While it may be an unsettled start for some with showers, many areas will see generally settled conditions over much of the long Jubilee Weekend, with plenty of dry weather and good spells of sunshine.

"Temperatures will be widely into the low 20s, feeling warmer in the sunshine, although temperatures will drop off quickly into the evenings.

Whatever you're getting up to this Jubilee Weekend, be sure to bring a coat!
