Northern Ireland has basked in summer sunshine this weekend with temperatures reaching 25C at Helen's Bay in Co.Down.

It's all thanks to a hot contentinal air mass of high pressure currently sitting over France.

Crowds flocked to the sandy beaches and cooled off in parks.

It has been one of the hottest weekends of the year so far but according to The Met Office things look set to cool down slightly next week with a 'changeable' couple of days forecast.

SUMMARY

MONDAY - Isolated light showers along the North Coast. Cloudy. Bright spells developing in the afternoon. 21C

TUESDAY - Sunshine and some clouds. Feeling cooler. 20C

WEDNESDAY - Scattered thundery showers possible. Dry and bright between. 23C

THURSDAY - Dry. Mixed clouds. 20C

All in all, not bad. Pollen levels should dip slightly going into next week and it's good news if you've been struggling to sleep at night.
