Yellow weather warning issued for Northern Ireland this weekend
Don’t forget your brolly if you’re out and about this weekend!
July was the wettest on record and it looks like August might be a washout too.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather, as heavy rain and strong winds, will push east across Northern Ireland on Saturday morning.
County Down and Belfast looks like it could see the heaviest and most persistent rain, with 30-35mph winds.

☔️ There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
☔️ Where flooding occurs, there is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
☔️ Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
☔️ There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses

Today: Mostly cloudy with showery, mainly light rain, this mainly across the north. Some brighter spells though and the south will see a few sunny spells in the afternoon. North or northwesterly winds, rather brisk near coasts. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Tonight: Cloud will tend to break up leaving clear spells and largely dry conditions overnight, but cloudier in the northwest where there will be some showers still. Mostly moderate northwest winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Friday: Generally dry with sunny spells, but the odd shower across the north and west, though mostly in the morning. Cloud and outbreaks of rain pushing in from west in evening.. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Heavy rain Saturday with strong easterly winds, possibly very wet over Belfast and southeast, drier late afternoon. Bright spells and showers Sunday and Monday, but wet and windy later Monday.
