Larne swept past Crusaders 4-1 on Friday night to return to the top of the Irish Premiership.

The Invermen put in a storming first half show which saw them go ahead through Lee Bonis.

Bonis would add a second, before Paul O'Neill and Leroy Millar also found the back of the net.

Crusaders responded with a late Philip Lowry consolation.

The win moved Larne a point ahead of Glentoran.

However Mick McDermott's side responded with a 3-1 win on Saturday over Dungannon Swifts. Conor McMenamin scored two, with Jay Donnelly getting the other.

In Friday's other match Ballymena United beat Newry City 3-0.

Mikey Place, Jordan Gibson and Davy McDaid scored the goals for David Jeffrey's side.

On Saturday afternoon Linfield were 3-0 winners at Portadown. Sam Roscoe, Robbie McDaid and Joel Cooper, who impressed, were the marksmen for David Healy's side.

Cliftonville and Glenavon played out a tightly-fought 2-2 draw. Joe Gormley had the Reds seemingly in control, before Gary Hamilton's men hit back with Josh Doyle. Cliftonville didn't deal then with a late effort from Michael Glynn and the ball was bundled home.

Coleraine took the three points after a late goal from Josh Carson proved the difference in their 1-0 win at Carrick Rangers.
