Coleraine's loss to Glenavon allows Glentoran to go top of the league

Glentoran went top of the Irish Premiership on Friday night after a 3-0 win at Portadown.

James Singleton, Conor McMenamin and Hrvoje Plum netted at Shamrock Park.

That was enough to see the east Belfast men clear at the summit after Glenavon beat Coleraine 3-1.

Peter Campbell, Robert Garrett and Matthew Fitzpatrick scored for the Lurgan Blues at the Showgrounds.

Larne eased past 10-man Ballymena United 3-0. Paul O'Neill scored twice and Albert Watson netted the other for the Invermen.

In Saturday afternoon's matches Crusaders took a 2-1 win over Newry City.

Dungannon Swifts meanwhile went down 4-2 to Cliftonville at Solitude.

Carrick Rangers welcome Linfield on Sunday afternoon.
