Kyle Lafferty's signed for Linfield until the end of the season.

The 35-year old's arrival sees him play under former Northern Ireland team-mate David Healy.

Lafferty had been released by Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock last week.

A statement from Linfield said: "We are delighted to announce the signing of Kyle Lafferty until the end of the season."

Lafferty has netted 20 goals in 89 Northern Ireland appearances.

He had returned to action for Kilmarnock last month after a 10-game ban due to a sectarian comment he made whilst on international duty.

Following his suspension, Lafferty began working with an anti-sectarian charity.

During his career he has also played for Burnley, Rangers, Norwich, Hearts and Sunderland in addition to numerous overseas move, including playing in Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Norway and Cyprus.
