Coleraine made it two Danske Bank Premiership wins from two on Saturday afternoon, beating hosts Portadown 2-0.

Matthew Shevlin netted both the Bannsiders goals at Shamrock Park.

Ballymena United picked up their first win of the season when they won 2-0 at Dungannon Swifts. Second half goals from Joshua Kelly and Conor Keeley were the difference between the teams at Stangmore Park.

Elsewhere Cliftonville came from behind to beat 10-man visitors Carrick Rangers 3-2. Ronan Hale gave the North Belfast men the lead in remarkable fashion inside ten seconds.

However Lloyd Anderson and David Cushley put Rangers in front.

Ryan Curran levelled matters, before Mark Surgernor was given his marching orders. Joe Gormley then came off the Solitude bench to snatch the winner.

There was drama at Mourneview Park as Larne scored a last-gasp penalty to beat Glenavon 2-1. Ben Doherty scored from the spot in the 96th minute. Jack Malone and Callum Birney were given reds as remarkably Glenavon ended with nine men for the second game in succession.

The final match of the weekend takes place on Sunday afternoon when Newry City host Linfield.
