It was a second defeat within the week for Irish Premiership leaders Larne on Friday night as Coleraine came away from Inver Park with a 0-2 win.

Striker Matthew Shevlin put the Bannsiders ahead. Conor McKendry's second-half strike sealed the win.

The result, coupled with their loss to Linfield in midweek, means Larne's lead over Cliftonville remains at five points going into Saturday's action.

Oran Kearney's men remain sixth.

On Saturday, Glentoran defeated bottom side Portadown 2-0. Carrick lost to Ballymena United 2-0. Newry also went down in their match against Cliftonville 2-0.

Dungannon Swifts secured a 1-0 success over visitors Glenavon.

On Saturday evening, Linfield are taking on Crusaders.
