Second-placed champions Larne had to be content with a point from their Irish Premiership meeting with Crusaders on Friday night.

Levi Ives had scored an early opener for Tiernan Lynch's side to put them ahead.

However Ben Kennedy netted just ten minutes from time for the Seaview men as the game ended 1-1.

At Windsor Park, Linfield saw off Glentoran 2-0.

Man-of-the-match Chris Shields struck a first-half double to stretch the lead of David Healy's men at the top.

It was a result which piles more pressure on Glens boss Warren Feeney - with his side suffering a third successive league defeat.

On Saturday afternoon Coleraine came from behind to win 4-1 against Glenavon at the Showgrounds.

Josh Carson, Conor McKendry with two, and Matthew Shevlin netted for the Bannsiders.

Carrick Rangers emerged with the points from Loughgall, Stuart King's side winning 3-4.

It is five wins from six for Cliftonville - they beat Dungannon Swifts 5-0 courtesy of goals from Joe Gormley, Sam Ashford and a Ben Wilson hat-trick.

And Newry City collected a valuable 2-0 win at Ballymena United. Adam Salley and Lee Newell scored the goals.
