Man of the moment, Michael McGovern, has been attracting the attention of clubs right across Europe.

That’s after his extraordinary heroics against world champions Germany.

McGovern (31) is now a free agent – but it looks like he will not be short of offers.

The Fermanagh man said: “It’s been a bit crazy 24 hours after the game – I’ve not not really experienced that before.

“I’m not really one the limelight.

“And I haven’t had any real time to dwell on it – maybe after the tournament I will have time to reflect.”

He told the IFA they were all looking forward to their knockout stage game with Wales tomorrow.

“It’s a game both teams will probably think they can win – we’re capable of doing it,” he said.

“It should be a good game – a derby atmosphere.”

It’s hard to think of Wales without focusing on one man. Gareth Bale.

He will surely be the one to worry about come Saturday, but all he's been speaking about so far is beating England to top spot in group B.

“It’s always a nice one to get one over the English,” he said.

Meanwhile in the Republic of Ireland camp, Martin ONeill thinks momentum is on their side after the win over Italy.

Next for the Republic – France down in Lyon.
