Northern Ireland's Brendan Rodgers has been re-appointed as Celtic's manager on a three-year contract.

The former Liverpool and Leicester boss returns to the Scottish Premiership champions where he won consecutive domestic trebles in 2017 and 2018.

Rodgers succeeds Ange Postecoglou, who left earlier this month to take charge of Tottenham.

50-year old Rodgers won seven domestic trophies in a row during his first spell at Celtic from 2016 to 2019.

That included an unbeaten debut domestic campaign and consecutive trebles.

Afterwards, he led Leicester City to their first FA Cup crown and the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League.

He was sacked from City however as dropped into the Premier League relegation zone with five defeats in six.
