All-Island Cup: Crusaders off to a flying start with Cliftonville and Linfield bagging a point apiece

The All-Island Cup got under way over the weekend - with Crusaders Strikers getting off to the perfect start,

The tournament sees the top five NI Women's Premiership teams compete with 11 League of Ireland sides.

And Crusaders were the pick of the locals with a 1-0 win over DLR Waves in their Group C opener.

Elsewhere, last year's beaten finalists, Cliftonville drew 1-1 with Shelbourne at Solitude in Group B.

Linfield, meanwhile, drew 2-2 with Peamount United in Group A while Lisburn lost 4-0 away to Bohemians.

In Group D, Women's Premiership champions, Glentoran, were beaten 5-2 by Athlone Town.
