Dr McKenna Cup: Monaghan to take on Donegal in final

Monaghan are through to the final of the Dr McKenna Cup after booking their place courtesy of a penalty shoot-out win over Armagh.

And they'll be joined in Saturday's showpiece by Donegal who saw off Derry in the other semi.

At the Athletic Grounds, though, it was Armagh who got off to the better start, leading at half time.

Monaghan fought back, though, to leave the score after full-time all-square at 0-15 to 0-15.

They then sealed the win 5-4 on penalties.

The other semi was more straight forward with Donegal dominating and running out 2-9 to 0-11 winners.

The final takes place at Healy Park on Saturday - with throw-in at 5pm.
