The Belfast Giants have enjoyed another dramatic double winning weekend.

They first beat Glasgow Clan 4-3 in the Challenge Cup at the Braehead Arena on Saturday night after Blair Riley found the net with just two seconds left on the clock.

Then last night it was back to league action at the SSE where they thrashed the Nottingham Panthers 6-1.

It was the second 100% weekend on the trot and brought the Giants’ overall win record to six in a row.

Tyler Beskorowany turned away 30 shots with six different goalscorers, Kendall McFaull, Blair Riley, Francis Beauvillier, Josh Roach, Hunter Bishop and Lewis Hook, scoring the all important goals. Missing for the Belfast side were Colin Shields, Pat Dwyer, Matt Towe, Andrew Dickson and Jim Vandermeer.

The Giants’ next home match is a Continental Cup semi-final on November 15.
