It was success at the double for Institute last night …

They beat Newry City 2-0 at the Showgrounds following their 1-0 win over their fellow Championship promoted side on the opening day of the season.

First-half goals from Gareth Brown (main pic) and Joe McCready secured all three points for Paddy McLaughlin’s men who now join Cliftonville on 14 points.

Newry remain in 10th – two places behind Institute.

Meanwhile, the pick of today’s Danske Bank Premiership games sees Coleraine at home to Crusaders.

Bannsiders boss Rodney McAree is looking for his first league win since taking over mid-September.

Another manager seeking his first league victory is Dungannon Swifts Kris Lindsay.

The former Glenavon coach is a guest on this week’s Cool FM Facebook show, now available to view and to download as a podcast.

He tells us he can turn their fortunes around – and is confident they will soon climb off the foot of the table.

But they will need to be at their very best later – they travel to fourth-place Ballymena United.

There is also a potential cracker at the Oval with Glentoran entertaining the high-flying Glenavon.

Elsewhere, Ards take on leaders, Linfield.

All of the games kick off at 3pm
