The former Ipswich Town boss joins for his second stint in charge of the team.

His previous time in the post, from 1996 to 2002, saw him lead ROI to the World Cup finals in Japan and South Korea in 2002.

It also encompassed the infamous incident where Roy Keane left the squad on the eve of the tournament.

Stephen Kenny also joins, the former Dundalk boss taking the reins of the U21 side.

As part of the deal taking him there, he will then step up into the senior role following Euro 2020.
