A young Ulster side eased to a 21-5 win over Uruguay at Kingspan as the province faced an international side for the first time in 10 years.

Captain Adam McBurney got the first try of the night, emerging with the ball after a driving maul in the 13th minute.

Just 4 minutes later, the Uruguayans again buckled under pressure, and the hooker scored a carbon copy of his first try in the exact same area of the pitch to extend the lead.

In testing, wet and windy conditions, Ulster mauled over again with 54 played, this time it was Marcus Rea who touched down for the province.

The visitors narrowed the gap 10 minutes from time as Mieres collected an outrageous offload to score in the corner to make it 21-5.
