Six Irish League stars are to compete for the coveted Ulster Footballer of the Year award.

The finalists in this year’s competition include Linfield’s captain Jamie Mulgrew and defender Jimmy Callacher alongside David Cushley and Jordan Forsythe from Crusaders.

Ballymena pair Jim Ervin and Adam Leckey complete the line-up.

The award will be handed out at a special gala ceremony in the Titanic Centre on April 29.

Last year’s winner was Crues forward Gavin Whyte (pictured above), now with English League One’s Oxford United.
