Ulster kept their European hopes alive last night in Wales when they beat Scarlets 25-24.

It was a hard-fought never-say-die performance from Dan McFarland’s side who gained some revenge for their defeat to their opponents in the PRO14 last month.

With their Ireland internationals back in the line-up again, it was a strong Ulster squad taking to the field at the Parc y Scarlets.

Tries from Jacob Stockdale, Henry Speight, Will Addison and Marcell Coetzee ensured a bonus-point win.

That means – mid-way through the pool stage – Ulster are well on course in their Champions Cup bid.

They now take on Scarlets in the home leg of the competition on Friday night.
