Cash for Kids Day is back & this is your chance to 'Flip the Music' on Cool FM
Cool FM’s Pete Snodden, Paulo Ross and Rebecca McKinney have announced that this year’s Cash for Kids Day is taking place on Thursday April 27th and they need you to get involved with all the fun – and fundraising!
The theme for the day is ‘Dress Like a Popstar’ so whether you want to unleash your inner Harry Styles or throw it back to Britney Spears the choice is yours.
On Thursday 27th, we're giving you the chance to flip the station's playlist to a fun new genre each hour!
If you wanna hear Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas' in April...we're ok with that, so long as you help us raise much-needed funds!
This year more than ever the most vulnerable children in our communities need help. As the cost of living crisis continues more and more families who were barely managing before are now finding themselves being pushed into poverty.
Paying for the essentials such as heating costs or putting a meal on the table are simply becoming unaffordable.
All fundraising from Cool FM Cash for Kids Day will help support the charity’s Cost of Living Grants for families with children who are really struggling.
These will pay for essentials like food, fuel and energy bills.
Cash for Kids Charity Manager, Clare McGimpsey said: ‘For many families 2023 looks set to be just as hard financially as 2022. That’s why we’re determined to do everything we can to make a difference and reach more families than ever before.
‘We’ve set the bar high but we know how brilliant and supportive the incredible NI community are, so thank you to every single one of you that’s going to get involved this year. We know you’re going to put the fun into fundraising and can’t wait to see what you get up to!’
