John Kearns is the voice of Cool Drive getting you home safely from 4-7pm with traffic and travel updates and of course, plenty of the freshest new music.
As well as the station’s European connection speaking Spanish, Italian and French, he’s also a keen guitarist, describing himself as a music addict. “I used to spend hours going through my parents’ eclectic record collection.”
Not only a radio DJ, John is also a songwriter and producer and jets off to the US where he does his show live from the states as often as possible.

How did John Kearns get into radio?
John's top tip for getting into radio is persistence.
"I started out DJ'ing, presenting on TV and hosting hospital radio. I started to knock on doors with my demo, very loudly, and it all paid off."
Who is John's favourite musician and why?
"Hands down David Bowie - he is the ultimate musical icon in every way. His imprint and inspiration can’t be overstated. He paved the way for so many artists and bands right up to the present day."
