Greggs are launching vegan sausage rolls

We are only a mere two days into 2019, but already this year is shaping up to be one of the BEST EVER! Why you may ask? Because bakery chain Greggs have only gone and launched VEGAN SAUSAGE ROLLS!

Yes, you read that correctly! After more than 20,000 people signed a petition by animal welfare organisation PETA, the popular bakery chain have revealed their brand new product, announcing it will go on sale on Thursday 3rd January!!!

Greggs shared an Oscar-worthy video of their exciting new product to their social media channels today (Wednesday 2nd January), revealing details such as , '96 layers of light and crisp puff pastry' – made with 'vegetable oil' – and a 'bespoke Quorn filling'.

Obviously vegans across the country were overjoyed at the new release, taking to Twitter to express their delight. One user wrote, 'Will definitely try it 👌 great move Greggs', with another adding, 'Yassssssss! The greatest news'. sic

Greggs have announced that customers will be able to buy the vegan version in 900 shops across the UK, with a full list available here. The vegan sausage roll will cost £1, 5p more than the original meat version.
